Savolitinib is a selective MET inhibitor, primarily indicated for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring MET exon 14 skipping mutation. Its administration must be strictly in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, with close attention paid to dosage adjustment, adverse reaction monitoring, and drug-drug interactions.
I. Indications and Contraindications
Applicable Population
Patients with NSCLC confirmed to have MET exon 14 skipping mutation through testing, and its use requires prior evaluation by a physician.
Contraindications
Patients hypersensitive to any component of the drug are contraindicated.
Caution is required for patients with severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as pregnant or lactating women, following careful assessment.
II. Dosage and Administration
Routine Dosage
Administered orally. The specific dosage shall be determined by the physician based on the patient’s condition and tolerance, usually once daily.
Adjustment Principles
In case of severe adverse reactions (e.g., abnormal liver function, interstitial lung disease, etc.), the dosage must be reduced or administration suspended promptly, and the physician should be contacted immediately.
III. Adverse Reactions and Management
Common Reactions
Including nausea, fatigue, edema, decreased appetite, etc. Most are mild to moderate and can be relieved with symptomatic treatment.
Serious Risks
Vigilance is required for interstitial lung disease, hepatic injury, and arrhythmia. Immediate medical attention should be sought if symptoms such as dyspnea, jaundice, or palpitations occur.
IV. Precautions
Pre-treatment Testing
Mutation status must be confirmed via genetic testing. Regular monitoring of hepatic and renal function, blood routine, and electrocardiogram is also required.
Drug-drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers (e.g., clarithromycin, rifampicin), as this may affect efficacy or increase toxicity.
Special Populations
Women of childbearing age should adopt effective contraceptive measures and avoid pregnancy during treatment and for at least 1 month after discontinuation of the drug.
V. Storage and Follow-up
Storage Conditions
Store below 30℃ away from light, and keep the original package sealed.
Regular Follow-up
Patients must follow the physician’s instructions for return visits during treatment to evaluate efficacy and safety. Do not adjust the dosage or discontinue the drug without authorization.
Note: Savolitinib is a prescription-only medicine. It must be used strictly under the guidance of a physician. Any abnormal symptoms during medication should be reported to the medical team promptly.
