Patients treated with tislelizumab injection should focus on adverse reaction monitoring, infection prevention and management of special populations, and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions to adjust the medication regimen. As a PD-1 inhibitor, this drug is mainly used for tumor immunotherapy. Patients need to undergo regular re-examinations, closely observe their physical reactions, and seek medical attention promptly in case of any abnormalities.
1. Adverse Reaction Monitoring
Immune-related adverse reactions are common side effects of this drug, such as pneumonia, hepatitis, colitis and thyroid dysfunction. Patients should inform their doctor immediately if they develop persistent cough, dyspnea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, jaundice or unexplained fever.
Skin reactions (e.g., rash, pruritus) and endocrine abnormalities (e.g., blood glucose fluctuations) also require attention. Regular tests of liver and kidney function, blood routine and hormone levels are recommended.
2. Infection Prevention
Immunotherapy may weaken the body’s defense mechanism. Patients should avoid contact with people with infectious diseases and reduce exposure to crowded places.
If infection symptoms (e.g., fever, sore throat, dysuria) occur during treatment, timely examination and infection control are required, and drug administration should be suspended if necessary.
3. Drug-Drug Interactions and Vaccination
Do not use this drug together with other immunosuppressants (e.g., hormones, biological agents) without medical evaluation.
Consult a doctor before receiving live vaccines; vaccination with live vaccines is not recommended during treatment.
4. Precautions for Special Populations
This drug is contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women. Effective contraception should be used during treatment.
Dose adjustment is required for patients with hepatic and renal insufficiency, and adverse reaction monitoring should be intensified in elderly patients.
During treatment, patients must strictly follow the medication cycle and dosage prescribed by the doctor, and shall not discontinue or adjust the regimen without authorization. Regular follow-ups are needed to evaluate efficacy and safety. Permanent drug discontinuation and symptomatic treatment are required for severe side effects (e.g., myocarditis, severe dermatitis).
