Anlotinib is an oral small-molecule multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor, primarily indicated for the treatment of patients with specific advanced solid tumors. Its approved indications shall be subject to the approval information released by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China. The drug must be administered under the guidance of a physician, and shall not be used without medical advice.
Approved Indications
1.Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
Indicated for patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer whose disease has progressed or relapsed after receiving at least two lines of systemic chemotherapy.
2.Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Indicated for the second-line or above treatment of patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma who have failed (progressed or relapsed) after treatment with anthracycline-based chemotherapy regimens.
3.Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma
Indicated for patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic medullary thyroid carcinoma who present with clinical symptoms or definite disease progression.
Other Investigational Indications (Clinical Trial Phase)
Preliminary research data suggest that anlotinib may exhibit certain efficacy in the treatment of advanced solid tumors such as colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, and ovarian cancer. However, further clinical verification is required, and the drug shall not be used as a routine treatment modality.
Precautions
1.Adverse Effect Management
Common adverse reactions include hypertension, hand-foot syndrome, proteinuria, and fatigue. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, routine urine tests as well as liver and kidney functions is required during treatment.
2.Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the drug.
Contraindicated in patients with central pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma or those at high risk of massive hemoptysis.
Contraindicated in pregnant or lactating women.
3.Medication Guidance
The drug must be used in strict accordance with the physician’s instructions, and dosage adjustment should be made based on the patient’s physical status, tumor type and stage. Concurrent use with anticoagulants should be avoided during medication to reduce the risk of bleeding.
